Joyful Prep for Today

When I think of preppy spaces, my thoughts initially turn to old cash, yacht-inspired rooms, Lacoste sweaters and buckskin shoes. Within the last couple of years, there has been a shift in what is deemed preppy, but all prepsters agree on one thing: Being preppy isn’t just how you dress, it’s also a lifestyle. New-school prep consisting of vibrant colours paired with plain white and also a dose of large scale geometric prints (believe Jonathan Adler’s Happy shimmering), finds favor with old and new pedigrees. Have a peek at these spaces inspired by individuals who don the sharpest popped collars and decide if you fit into thepreppy layout spectrum. Tell us Are old fashioned or new-school prep?

A pink-and-green color combo paired with monogrammed cushions, undoubtedly, exudes Southern prep. Using a base of black and white makes this color scheme pop; therefore does the replicated damask and polka-dot patterns. Use your beloved Lily Pulitzer frock for inspiration when attempting to pull off this look.
